Time to Pet is an all-in-one software that allows our clients to request services and view all pet information directly from a Client App on a smartphone/tablet, or from within a Client Portal that can be accessed via a computer or laptop. Clients also get real-time updates and visit report cards after each visit is completed, have the ability to communicate with Pupper Pals management and sitters through personal chat feed, and can easily update their pet details and routine at any time.

How do I create my Time to Pet account?

To create your account, please Click Here.  After completing your questionnaire, Pupper Pals  will review your account to verify you are a resident in one of our Eligible Buildings.  Once we have approved your profile, you will receive an email with a link to activate your account.

After logging in for the first time, please review all of the information in the "Pets" section as well as the "My Info" section.

How do I submit a new service request?

The "Schedule" section of the client portal allows you to view your scheduled events, request new services and to submit cancellation/change requests. This section can be accessed by selecting the "Scheduling" button on the home screen of the app. When you submit a service request through your Time to Pet account,  Pupper Pals management will review your request. Once your request has been reviewed, you will receive an email either confirming or declining your requested services.

You can also log-in to your Time to Pet account at any time and click on the Services/Invoices tab, and you will be able to see all of your approved services.

My plans have changed! How do I edit or cancel my scheduled walks?

 

After selecting the "New Request" button on the bottom right, you can select the "Cancellation/Change" to submit this request. After describing the cancellation/change request, click the "Request Changes" button at the bottom of the screen to submit your request.

 

Help! I forgot my password!

Forgot your password? No problem! Let us know, and we can reset your Time to Pet password, allowing you to create a new one!

Q. What Vaccinations are required for my dog to use Pupper Pals’ services?

At Pupper Pals, your dog’s safety and well-being is our first and foremost concern. To further this objective, we require that all furry friends are current on required vaccines. Vaccinations must be given by your veterinarian at least 2 days before using a Pupper Pals service.

 

Required Vaccinations for Daycare: Rabies, DHPP and Bordetella. Additionally, we ask that all dogs are free of any communicable diseases for 30 days. Below is additional info on the required vaccines:

 

 • Rabies: Required once at 16 weeks of age in puppies, then given again 1 year later (1 year, 4 mos. of age) and then every three years going forward. Dogs are required by law to be vaccinated against the rabies virus because this deadly virus can spread to humans.

 • DHPP (DHLPP) (also called Distemper): Required as a puppy series beginning at 6-8 weeks old, boosted twice at 3-week intervals and again a year later. Like rabies, after the first year, the distemper/parvo combination vaccine can be given every three years.

 • Bordetella: Required to be current by 12 months from date of vaccine. Most veterinarians recommend the Bordetella vaccine be given every 6 months to maintain a high level of immunity for dogs who are often in social settings.

 

*Influenza vaccine is not required but highly recommended if available in your area

 

Q. Can I meet with you before I make a booking?

Absolutely! We always start off with a meet and greet before you are able to request a booking to ensure that we’re the right fit for you, and so that we can make sure you’re the right customers for us based on our services offered. 

 

Q. What does Pupper Pals need from me for a booking?

Our online booking system, Time To Pet, allows our customers to create a client portal where they can update their home and pet information. 

 

Q. Can I be assured of the same Pupper Pal for each visit?

We prefer to have the continuity of the same pet sitter each time. However, if the sitter is not available then a fully informed substitute sitter will be available for backup.

 

Q. What happens in case of an emergency and the pet sitter can’t go to my house

In the case of an emergency (illness, car accident, etc) our team will step in to help to ensure service is not interrupted.

Q. How do I communicate with my Pupper Pal? May I have their phone number?

At the completion of every visit, your walker/sitter will fill out the pet visit log in your home and message you through our online portal with a quick note and/or picture. Through our amazing online client portal you are able to communicate with your sitters through the conversation piece. They check this periodically throughout the day between walks when time permits. We ask that you do not request the cell phone number of your walker/sitter, For any questions you may have or emergencies please contact us directly at 619-344-0101, or via email to info@pupperpals.com. If an emergency should arise your walker will also contact the owner or their manager immediately in order to contact you.

 

Q. What do you do on a Check-In Visit?

Our dog walking and pet sitting visits are personalized to your pet's needs and routine. Each visit will include energizing interaction, a walk in or around your neighborhood, feeding per your instructions, fresh water, dogs walked, love and play time, medication given if needed, mail and newspaper brought in, lights on and off. Lots of TLC.

 

Q. Are You Bonded and Insured?

Yes! We are bonded and insured.
 

 

Q. How do I know that my assigned pet sitter has come by as scheduled? 

We have a guarantee that we will always show up! Pupper Pals has a number of providers who care for pets, so even in emergencies, we can assure you that someone will be there to care for your pets. We send daily updates, with pictures to show you how our time with your pets was. 

 

Q. Something’s come up and I need to cancel my booking. Are there any fees?

We have cancellation fees that are based on the time of notification that is provided.

Q. How are you different from other pet sitting services?

We put our heart and soul into creating an extraordinary pet care service that truly provides pet owners with peace of mind knowing their pets and their homes are being well-cared for in their absence. All of our sitters offer a standardized operational system and follow your customized care plan  that our clients have come to know and expect. No matter the provider, the care and communication will be the same every time.

 

Q. Can I clients schedule directly through their sitter?

For the safety of our client’s pets all visits must be scheduled through Pupper Pals. We use a high-tech scheduling program, which ensures ―no pet is left behind. If a client schedules through their sitter and the sitter forgets to inform the office, that takes us out of the loop and therefore unable to follow-up with the sitter to make sure the pet has been seen. Pupper Pals will not be held liable for visits scheduled without the office's knowledge.

Q. Do you operate on holidays?

Yes! We provide services 365 days a year! 

 

Q. May  I give my Pupper Pal a gratuity?

 

Absolutely! You may leave cash for your sitter at your home and leave a note so they are aware it is for them. You may also leave a gratuity with your payment made through the client portal. Gift cards are also a great idea and appreciated.

 

Q. Do you pick up my dog’s waste when you are walking? 

Yes, we do. Although not required, it is appreciated when you provide the bags.

Q. Do you only accept well-trained dogs?

No, we accept dogs at whatever stage of learning they are at. Dog walking often helps with training. We like to know and use whatever commands and behaviors you and your pet are practicing so that we can reinforce the behaviors you want to see with your dog. We use basic commands such as “sit,” “stay,” “heel,” “off “, “lay down,” and “leave it,” and welcome your suggestions. In cases where a dog is unable to be easily controlled on a walk, we may ask that a different leash, collar, or harness be purchased to continue services.


 

How do you ensure my pet’s safety?

Your pet’s safety is a top concern of ours. All dogs are walked on-leash and never left unattended. If walking in a group, dog temperaments and dispositions are matched to ensure they are a good fit with one another. All of our employees go through an intense, in-depth Pupper Pals training. During our initial consultation, please go over any health or safety concerns you may have with your pet.


 

Q. Can my pet sitter give or administer medications?

Yes, all sitters have training in pill/tablet, cream and liquid medication administration. 

 

Q. How do I know my sitter actually came and stayed for the right amount of time?

 

All of our visits are GPS tracked and timed through our client portal. This information can not be edited or falsified from the sitter.

Q. How will I be billed and pay?

All Invoices are available via your online client portal. Payments can be made with any type of credit or debit card. Payments are due at time of scheduling for new clients and/or holiday peak times, or by the first service for all existing clients and/or non-holiday peak times.


 

Q: What is Time to Pet?

Time To Pet is an online tool which allows our Clients to easily schedule appointments for their pets, and set up client and pet profiles. This individual profile capability allows clients to update their contact information, provide a change in veterinarian or medication, add pet likes or dislikes, and any other information that may be important, or just fun to know! This tool is also available on iOS and Android devices for easy mobile capability.
